At Carryduff Running Club, our running community thrives because of the dedication and passion of our amazing volunteers. We don’t take any payment for what we do.
From supporting events to organising training sessions, volunteers are at the heart of what we are about. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or new to running, there may be a place for you to make a difference.
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering is a fantastic way to
- Give back to fellow CRC members and the wider running community.
- Build friendships with like-minded individuals.
- Develop new skills in leadership, event organisation, and teamwork.
- Support the growth of our club and its members.
- Feel good about yourself – It’s an amazing feeling helping others achieve fitness and running goals.
How Can You Get Involved?
There are many ways to contribute to Carryduff Running Club, including:
- Event Support: Help us organise and run events like Couch 2 5K, marathon training days, and our annual races.
- Social Media, PR and Newsletters – We are always looking for people to assist with our social media and publicising events.
- Coaching & Mentoring: Share your experience by leading a training group or mentoring new runners. Our club has a programme to identify new coaches for both LiRF (Leader in Running Fitness) and CiRF (Coach in running fitness).
- Committee Roles: Join the club’s committee or sub-committee to help shape the future of Carryduff Running Club.
- Social Activities: Organise post-run meetups, club socials, and other events to strengthen our community.
- Logistical Support: Assist with administrative tasks, kit distribution, or registration and membership duties.
Who Can Volunteer?
Anyone with a willingness to help is welcome! Whether you can spare a few hours occasionally or want to take on a more regular role, your contribution will be valued. Volunteering isn’t just for runners—it’s also for family members, friends, or anyone who loves the buzz of a running club atmosphere.
